Erika Girardi sued for allegedly embezzling money in divorce
Federal court documents revealed that Erika Jayne and Tom Girardi embezzled settlement funds that were intended for the victims of the Lion Air Flight 610. Known better as one of the characters of the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills, Erika Jayne and her ex-husband are being sued by Edelson PC. This is a class-action firm that is representing many Boeing crash victims.
The lawsuit states that Tom Girardi’s law firm, Girardi Keese, was facing financial ruin. With the constant need for this family lawyer Ontario to live an outrageous lifestyle, his business was facing mounting debts. It has been claimed that the divorce, which was filed publicly this month, was simply to protect both Erika and Tom’s money. Some speculate that the only reason they contacted a divorce attorney Ontario was financial. They allegedly are trying to keep any of Tom’s business debts from being paid from their personal funds.
This is not the first time Girardi has faced charges similar to these. Rather, the lawsuit claims that Girardi has kept funds that were intended for his clients in the past to fund his lavish lifestyle. His soon-to-be ex-wife, Erika Jayne, has reported that her glamorous lifestyle costs around $40,000 per month to maintain.
The divorce lawyer and property division specialist overseeing this case have announced that there was no prenuptial agreement between the two. Jayne and Girardi have been married for 21 years. Erika, who is 49-years-old, is seeking spousal support from Tom, who is 81-years-old. As of right now, neither Edelson PC or Erika Jayne’s representative have commented on the court case.
